J.H. Foster was president of Bessie Tift College; he resigned in March of 1922.

This collection contains a letter written by BessieTift College President, J.H. Foster on March 17, 1922, Forsyth, Georgia. It is addressed to Professor C.C. Lemon of Whitewater, Wisconsin. The letter acknowledges Lemon's acceptance of a faculty position.

Bessie Tift College was a Baptist women's institution that merged with Mercer University in Macon, Georgia in 1986.
