George Fawcett is a resident of Savannah, Georgia. He worked as the senior vice president of operations at the Savannah Sugar Refinery until his retirement in October 1991. He was also a director of the Trust Company Bank in Savannah, Georgia.
This collection contains five volumes compiled in 1991 covering the history of the Savannah Sugar Refinery in Savannah, Georgia from 1916 to 1991. Included within this collection are three volumes which detail the history of the company from 1916 until 1991; one volume detailing the history of the land of the Savannah Sugar Refinery; and one volume containing original plan photographs from 1917-1930. All of these volumes have been embossed with Fawcett's name. Also included is a program from the refinery's 65th Anniversary Jubilee in 1982.
