Rita Trotz is a native of Plainfield, New Jersey and currently lives in Savannah, Georgia. She was married to Sam Trotz and they had three sons together. Trotz is an authority of old and out of print books about the South and worked as a rare book dealer and appraiser.
This collection contains photographs from the 1930s to 1950s collected by Rita Trotz of various images from Savannah, Georgia and Augusta, Georgia. Within this collection are photographs of unidentified groups of people in Savannah, Georgia at pageants, parades, and posed in front of monuments; street views of Savannah; tree nurseries in an unidentified location; the Wofford Oil Company terminals in Augusta, Georgia; Brigaider General Frederic E. Glantzberg at Hunter Army Airfield; group photographs of the Central of Georgia Railway Company's Board of Directors; and of Herschel V. Jenkins.
