Biographical/Historical Note

Armstrong Atlantic State University (AASU) was established in 1935 in Savannah, Georgia as a junior college supported by the city of Savannah. AASU eventually evolved into a four year school within the University System of Georgia. It now offers a full undergraduate curriculum as well as several graduate programs.

Scope and Content Note

This collection contains a program for the first commencement held at Armstrong Atlantic State University on 4 June 1937, when it was known as Armstrong Junior College, in Savannah, Georgia.
