Biographical/Historical Note

Bryan County, Georgia is located in southeast Georgia and was founded on 19 December 1793.

Scope and Content Note

This collection contains wild land digests and tax digests from Bryan County, Georgia from circa 1871 to 1901. There are six volumes of wild land digests from 1894 to 1900 which document the names of land owners in Bryan County, the total acreage of land owned, and the value of that land. There are thirteen tax digests from circa 1871 to 1901 which document the personal and estate taxes of the residents in Bryan County. These volumes are in fragile condition.
