The Savannah and Atlanta Railway Company was incorporated by the Imbrie Company on 8 December 1915 to build a railroad connection between the Georgia Railroad and the Savannah and Northwestern Railway. The railway was completed in 1916 and began operation soon thereafter. In 1929, the railway was sold to Robert M. Nelson. The Central of Georgia Railway bought this company from Nelson in 1951.
This collection contains a ledger from the Savannah and Atlanta Railway Company with accounts from 1939 to 1945.
