Anna Juchter Nease was the daughter of Theodore August and Harriet Hortense Thompson Juchter. She was born in Savannah, Georgia in 1927 and was a graduate from Savannah High School. She married Lloyd Vernon Nease, Jr. and had two sons, Theodore J. and Lloyd Vernon Nease, III. Nease worked as a clerk for the Central of Georgia Railroad until its acquisition by the Southern Railroad, when she then completed nursing school and began her career as a nurse. She was a longtime member of the Georgia Salzburger Society, the Savannah Genealogical Association, the United States Air Defense Team, and was active in the Cub Scouts of America. She also served as president, state trustee, and historian of the Fraternal order of Eagles Aerie 330 Ladies' Auxiliary and was named the Eagle of the Century. Her lifelong commitment to community service earned her the Hometown Hero Award in the 1990s. Anna Juchter Nease died on 24 April 2009 and is buried in Bonaventure Cemetery in Savannah.
This collection contains records regarding the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #330 and their Ladies Auxiliary in Savannah, Georgia, collected by Anna Juchter Nease, their past president, state trustee, and historian, from 1930 to 1999.
