The Patterson family resided in Columbus, Georgia.
This collection contains correspondence, photographs, genealogical information and charts, coats of arms, clippings, artifacts, and miscellaneous papers of the Patterson family from 1752-1762 and 1855-1973. Also included are genealogical information on families related to the Pattersons including the Auchmuty, Livingston, Nicholl, Todd, Wainwright, and Wayne families. Of particular interest are the papers and materials relating to Col. Robert Harman Patterson and his service in the Coast Artillery Corps for over forty-five years.
