Biographical/Historical Note

The Ancient Order of the Nobles of the Mystic Shrine for North America, most commonly known as the Shriner's, was established in 1870 as an appending body to Freemasonry. In 1896, a branch of this fraternal organization was established in Savannah, Georgia as the Alee Temple.


Scope and Content Note

This collection contains a group photograph from the Shriner's oyster roast at Thunderbolt, Georgia on 17 December 1906. The cardboard that the photograph has been mounted on is in fragile condition.
