Biographical/Historical Note

John Elihu Waller was born on 2 January 1850 and died on 8 September 1915. Peleus A. Waller was the son of John Elihu Waller. Peleus A. Waller served in Company F, 5th Infantry Division of the United States Army circa 1898 and died in August of 1898 from Typhoid fever in Tampa West, Florida.

This collection contains letters of correspondence between John Elihu Waller and the United States War Department pertaining to Peleus A. Waller. The letters date from 1898 to 1900.
