This collection contains Victor A. Royal's full report on the devolution of title to Elba Island, Georgia from 1824 to May 24, 1971. This report was prepared for Thomas H. Gignilliat by Royal in 1971 and includes an index of all the individuals who had owned interest in Elba Island, which is located in Chatham County, Georgia near the port of Savannah. Also included are genealogies of some of the people who owed interest in Elba Island during this time.
