The creator of these two diaries remains unknown, but he was married to Lilliemae; had three sons: Matthew, Raymond, and Greatheart; and lived in Savannah, Georgia.

This collection contains two diaries by an unidentified creator from 1931 to 1932 which detail this man's struggle to make ends meet by trying to find work, paying bills, raising children, and how these issues affect his relationship with his wife.
