No biographical information is available.
This collection contains a slave bill of sale, a photocopy of the bill, and a transcript. The slave, approximately 19 years old, named Margarite was sold to Zachariah Rochman by G.L. McClusky for $425.00. The writing on the document is difficult to read and names could also be interpreted as Zachariah Rockman or Zachariah Rockmore; G.L. McClosky or G.L. McClisky; and Margaritt or Margaret. McClusky's attorney was E. Kirkpatrick.
The sale took place in Stewart County, Georgia and is dated April 1, 1845.
