The English-Speaking Union of the United States is a non-profit, non-political, educational organization whose mission is to promote scholarship and the advancement of knowledge through the effective use of English in an expanding global community. There are seventy two branches of the English-Speaking Union in the United States, one of them being in Savannah, Georgia. The Savannah branch includes a group of members who have an interest in learning more about their heritage and support the mission of the English-Speaking Union of the United States by initiating innovative programs to expand and improve the comprehension and use of the English language worldwide.
