Hamilton, Hardeman and Co. was a cotton factor and general commission business located in Savannah, Georgia.
This collection contains a broadside dated 15 June 1843 from the Hamilton, Hardeman and Co. Within this broadside, the company gave their thanks to the Georgia cotton growers who gave them business over the past year. They also requested that Georgia cotton growers begin to package their cotton in square bales rather than round bales in order to remain competitive in the foreign cotton trade.
