Biographical/Historical Note

Francis L. Mobley served as a Second Lieutenant in Company I of the 50th Georgia Volunteer Infantry Regiment during the Civil War. He was married to Rhoda Gaskins Mobley and they lived in Nashville, Georgia.

Scope and Content Note

This collection contains typed transcriptions of letters from 2nd Lt. Frances L. Mobley to his wife and other members of his family while he served in the Civil War from 1861-1864.
