Biographical/Historical Note

William Ogier McDonald (1868-1930) was born in Charleston, South Carolina, on July 1, 1868. He married Katie St. Clair on July 1, 1891, at the Wentworth Street Lutheran Church. McDonald died in Ocala, Florida, on October 10, 1930.


Scope and Content Note

This collection consists of a microfilm copy of the genealogy of the McDonald family in South Carolina. The lineage information, 1805-1897, was compiled by Walter S. McDonald from the original family records kept by his father, William O. McDonald of Charleston, South Carolina, in 1897. This genealogy appears as item 5 on the microfilm roll X-1545-05; the roll contains materials from multiple collections.

This genealogy was microfilmed by the Georgia Department of Archives and History in 1966.
