This collection consists of 3 photographs of John B. Gordon's funeral procession through Atlanta. John Brown Gordon (1832-1904), a native Georgian, attained the rank of lieutenant general in the Confederate Army. After the Civil War Gordon served as a U. S. Senator from Georgia from 1873-80; 1891-97. He also served as Governor of Georgia from 1886-1890. The photographs are mounted on card stock. Written on the back is this information, "Gordon's Funeral by E. A. Speer." Presumably, E. A. Speer is the photographer.
