Georgia Adams Rathbone McPherson was the daughter of Elizabeth Rathbone of Ann Arbor, Michigan. She was married to J. H. T. McPherson, a professor at the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia. In 1893, Georgia fell sick with tuberculosis and returned to Ann Arbor, where she died on 13 November 1893.
This collection contains a scrapbook in tribute to Georgia Adams Rathbone McPherson who died on 13 November 1893. This scrapbook contains newspaper clippings, photographs, a lock of hair, and letters written to Georgia's mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Rathbone, and husband, Mr. J. H. T. McPherson, after her death in 1893.
