Stephen Habersham (1821-1904) was the son of Richard Wylly Habersham and Sarah Hazzard Elliott of Savannah, Georgia.
This collection consists of a microfilm copy of an account book kept by Stephen Habersham of Grove Plantation in Savannah, Georgia. The account book, 1858-1864. In lists supplies purchased in Savannah, a planting journal, and the names, ages, and other statistics of slaves kept on the plantation.
Portions of the original account book were later used as a diary by Eli J. Sherlock during the Civil War; this portion does not appear on the microfilm.
