William P. Palmer (1861-1927) was the President of the Western Reserve Historical Society (Cleveland, Ohio) from 1913-1927. Palmer had an intense interest in the Civil War and acquired an extensive collection of material relating not only to the war, but to ante-bellum life, slavery, and the life of Abraham Lincoln as well.
This collection consists of microfilm copies of Civil War era materials from the William P. Palmer collection at the Western Reserve Historical Society. These materials all pertain to Georgia in the Civil War. The first roll contains reports and letters. The second roll contains muster rolls for Company D of the 10th Georgia Infantry Battalion for 1862, a roster of officers and staff of the Army of the Tennessee, and an 1863 letter book of General Braxton Bragg. The letter book contains letters, special orders, circulars, general orders, and telegrams.
This collection was microfilmed in November 1950 by the Microfilm Corporation in Cleveland, Ohio.
