Thomas and Fuller were drug merchants in New York. G.J. Thomas was one of the partners. James Stewart was their agent; he spent a large amount of time in Savannah, Georgia.
This collection consists of a letter book from Thomas and Fuller of New York. While the letter book covers 1853-1857, only the letters of 1857 pertain to Georgia. These letters were written to Thomas and Fuller by James Stewart from various places in Georgia and relate mostly to accounts with customers. Following the letters there is a poem dated Savannah, July 2, 1859 and "Reports of deaths for the week ending April 9, 1866 in Savannah." The list is barely legible.
