This collection consists of a letter from Nesbit and Winfield to Samuel J. Hitchcock, sent from Macon, Georgia, in 1844. The letter contains a report of the standing of negotiations over money owed to Hitchcock by the city of Macon. He was being offered stock in the Central R.R. and Banking Company as payment. According to the letter, Mr. W. Poe was to bring a more complete report to him.
