Biographical/Historical Note

Philip Farley immigrated to the United States from Ireland some time prior to 1853. He was living in Alabama when he became a United States citizen in 1857.

This collection consists of the citizenship certificate of Philip Farley, granted August 1, 1857 in Mobile, Alabama. The document was deposited at the Citizens and Southern National Bank in Savannah, Georgia by Mrs. Gus Eberhardt.
