This collection consists of a letter from Ellward (last name is unknown) to his mother, written in 1872. He writes from Savannah, Georgia, of his family's health, the warm weather, and of a dress he bought as a gift for Cecile. According to information supplied by the collection's donor, the letter's author may have been a member of the Klein family from Walterboro, South Carolina.
