The Savannah Music Club was organized on November 9, 1896 and may have been the first such club in Georgia.


Scope and Content Note

This collection consists of the minute book and correspondence of the Savannah Music Club, 1900-1904. The minute book includes minutes of club meetings, programs of club recitals and annual concerts, club finances, the election of new members, and a list of current club members. Correspondents are: W. Knabe and Co; Alexander R. Lawton; T. Lloyd Owens; and W.A. Nisbet.
