This collection contains the pocket diary of Mattie Jane Walker. While there are only a few personal entries in the diary, there are a variety of poems, quotations, obituaries, marriages, and clippings of Civil War items that are undated. There is also a list of Christian names, apparently a class roll noting presence or absence, dated May 11, 1862. The entries are in "Marsh's Pocket Diary, 1855."
