Needham Rogers (1796-1871) was born in Nova Scotia, Canada. He married Susan Daniell in approximately 1850 in Newton County, Georgia, where they lived. He died in Cobb, Georgia, in 1871.
This collection consists of a land grant from the State of Georgia to Needham Rogers of Newton County for 40 acres of Tract 119, 5th District, 1st Section of Cherokee County, 1843. The grant is for land drawn by Rogers during the gold lottery of 1842. A plat and pendant seal are attached.
