George W. Petty (b. ca. 1823) was a farmer in Morgan County, Georgia.
This collection consists of indentures for a tract of land in the 280th District of Morgan County, Georgia. The first indenture, 1846 is from Abner Porter to Riley J. Backus. The second is from Backus to George W. Petty, dated 1849. The third indenture is from Petty to James B. Arnold, 1850.
Purchased from Schindler's Antique Shop in Charleston, South Carolina.
