James Nash, Jr. (ca. 1803-1897) lived in Jackson County, Georgia. A farmer, he married Mary Ann Ledbetter.

This collection consists of a land grant to James Nash, Jr. of Jackson County, Georgia, for 40 acres in the 11th District, 1st Section of Cherokee County. The grant is dated 1843 and includes an 1832 plat and pendant seal. This grant may be a gold lot. The document is torn along its creases.
