J.F. Minis and Company was comprised of Jacob Florance Minis and J. Cooper Harris, who were commission merchants and ship brokers. The company was established in Savannah around 1894 and ceased operation in approximately 1905.
This collection consists of letters, telegrams, cablegrams, cargo rates, and a few accounts pertaining to merchandising and shipping cotton, all concerning J.F. Minis and Company. Most of the papers are typescript and are addressed to J.F. Minis & Co. They are arranged chronologically.
