Biographical/Historical Note

B.F. Hill served in the Georgia 53rd Volunteer Infantry Regiment, Company K, the Quitman Guards of Monroe County. A private in 1862, Hill was appointed 4th Corporal in October, 1864. He was sick on furlough when the war ended.

Scope and Content Note

This collection consists of a certificate recommending an extension of furlough for B.F. Hill, private in Company E of Cobb's Legion, Wofford's Brigade, 1863.
