Co. K of the 26th Regiment was successively designated New Co. H, 13th Regiment Georgia Volunteer Infantry and Co. H, which became Co. K, May 8 or 10, 1862, 26th Regiment Georgia Volunteer Infantry. The company originated in Clinch and Ware Counties, Georgia and was called the Forest Rangers and served in the Army of Northern Virginia.
This collection contains the muster roll of the Georgia 26th Volunteer Infantry Regiment, Company K, for January 1 - August 31, 1864.
