The collection consists of two volumes of the proceedings and minutes of the Governor and Council and 62 loose papers. The proceedings supplement The Colonial Records of the State of Georgia, ed. A.D. Candler, v. XII (Atlanta, 1907), which contains the "Proceedings and Minutes of the Governor and Council from August 6, 1771, to February 13, 1782." Only fifteen of the sessions in this published volume are repeated in the volumes of this collection.
