Andrew Foster was a merchant in Savannah, ca. 1821-1835. There are numerous references to him in the index to the Savannah newspapers for those years.
This collection contains a letters patent appointing Andrew Foster as Swedish Vice-Consul at Savannah, 1826, signed by John Quincy Adams and Henry Clay. It also contains the official seal of the vice-Consulate of Sweden in Savannah.
