Bernard Constantine (1792-1865) was a native of Pennsylvania. He was a butcher and grocer in Savannah, Georgia. He died on December 14, 1865 and is buried in Laurel Grove Cemetery.
This collection consists of a deed of indenture, dated November 11, 1861, from Bernard Constantine to his son, Peter Constantine, for two slaves, Mary and Susan, in trust for Bernard's daughter-in-law, Sarah Constantine, and her children.
