Moses Buffington (b. 1751) was an ensign in Robert Parr's company of the South Carolina Royalists.
This collection consists of a letter from Moses Buffington in Savannah, Georgia to his father, Peter Buffington, Sr., dated December 8, 1779. The letter relates Moses' experiences during the siege on Savannah by British troops during the Revolutionary War. In the letter, he also mentions his brothers and friends. A typescript of Buffington's letter is also in the collection.
