The Georgia Militia organized as a result of the Colonial Acts of 1755 and 1773. Each male in the state between the ages of 16 and 60 was required to register within his militia district.
This collection consists of a judgment against George Buchanan for default at a company muster on November 3, 1806. The 4th company of the Chatham Regiment was charged with collecting the fine. The document is dated December 8, 1806. Printed form, filled in.
