This collection consists of a letter from Small and McNish of Savannah, Georgia to George Baillie on March 23, 1812, discussing Baillie's financial difficulties and accusing him of cruelly distressing Mrs. Turnbull. The letter is signed "John McNish" in pencil in a different handwriting than the letter. The George Baillie to whom this letter is addressed was a merchant in Savannah, Georgia. He married Jourdina Cunningham Crooke in 1766. He was the cousin of George Baillie, Jr. (1762-1791, son of Robert and Anne McIntosh Baillie).
